Literator
Edtech Mobile App Design

OVERVIEW
Literator provides teachers insights on student performance in literacy skills based on observation. The existing app caters for K1-K8 kids. The Literator team wants to expand the app to cater for pre-Kindergarten level kids and to reimagine the entire app.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a low fidelity design for a new mobile app optimal for use in pre-Kindergarten classrooms, without considering constraints in the existing app, which supports:
forming small groups;
tracking student progress in small group guided reading and 1-on-1 guided reading; and
communicating with parents.

THE OUTCOME
Made a low fidelity prototype of the redesigned app.
Validated with teachers that they were able to successfully complete the tasks of forming groups, tracking student progress and communicating with parents.
Our prototype is able to help guide the client’s further development of the Literator app.
Stacey worked on designing a new complementary mobile app for Literator. She has solid UX design skills and she is capable of coming up with good solutions, present them through rapid prototyping and communicate clearly her design decisions. Stacey and her team delivered a working prototype that was well-validated and exceeded our expectations. It was a pleasure working with Stacey and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a UX designer.
